After seeing some of these statistics, I’m surprised I even got in at all.

**Decision: Accepted **

Other Factors, hook?: I think my art/video portfolio was what sold me. They both had a wide variety of work and tied my Personal Statement, essay, and teacher recommendations together quite nicely.

General Comments, scholarship chances, status info, going to USC…?: I found out I got in through an e-mail from my mom. It’s safe to say I scared about half my class AND my teacher when I screamed out loud and nearly fell out of my chair. Seriously, I still can’t believe that I got into SCA. USC’s my top choice unless my financial aid package ends up being so crappy that I end up $100,000 in debt after graduating. If not, Stanford or Chapman’s Dodge College ain’t too shabby…

Bumping for information for 2010 applicants. last year the first acceptances were postmarked 1/23 and received 1/24, so some of you may hear any day now. Please post your stats on the NEW 2010 thread http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-southern-california/852880-stats-only-usc-decisions-2010-a.html</a> for next year’s applicants.

GOOD LUCK!

bump again

i really want to bump this again. check out the last few pages. Some kids with really good stats got rejected, while kids with rather low stats were admitted.

I want to believe its because of the major to which the student applied, but I thought USC’s policy was that if you don’t get accepted to your major, you can still be accepted as undecided? So what’s going on with these stats??? After seeing them I really don’t think I have a chance of getting in at all lol.
