Please use this thread to post your ideas for making the new CC Stats Profile feature better and more useful! Thanks for your input!
Whoops, sorry - I posted in the main thread before I noticed this one. I’ll repost here.
If a poster lists only an ACT score and no SAT score, the ACT score doesn’t show up when viewing by college. It’s only visible if you view the person’s stats profile. How about adding an ACT field to the college view so we can see what that person’s ACT score was if he has one. If he never took the SAT or chooses to keep that score private, the college view is useless
We’ll check out that issue, thanks.
What a cool feature! Could you make it so students applying for a transfer could you use it too?
well, the only complaint I might have is that the college year part is a little buggy. I put 2013 but it kept showing up as 2006 in the profile. A place to fill in high school year could help too.
there should be a part for
“Other info” or something like that.
Thanks, keep 'em coming.
I think enabling kids already in college to post results from years past would be a nice feature. I use to be addicted to this site, and that is something I would have wanted to see.
I agree with Fratastic. I think it would be very helpful to have ACCEPTED STUDENTS for each college post their statistics, so those looking to apply can hopefully get a realistic idea of what it takes to receive the thick envelope.
Right now, there may be a glitch in the College Class of 200x setting. Once we fix that, we’ll add the potential for classes earlier than 2011 to post.
Transfer students could really use this…
It’d be awesome if in the Colleges of Interest section there was an option that said “Might apply.” Lots of people aren’t sure.
There should be another few options on the class rank. all that is available is top 5, top 10%, other, top 25% etc. Should have a 1 or Val - since this is an important deal for many colleges, top 2%, top 5%, etc. jMHO
Don’t see University of Texas on the list of colleges
Let people indicate their exact ranks if they want.
University of Texas is listed as THE University of Texas. Wouldn’t it make more sense to list it as “Texas at Austin, University of” or “University of Texas, Austin”?
Also, since schools calculate GPA so many different ways, would it be possible to recommend a consistent way to calculate or estimate the GPA? Maybe that’s unrealistic, but I’ve always found GPA postings confusing.
I don’t find this very useful unless you can see the stats of admitted, matriculated students. There’s no point in knowing who’s applying if you don’t know who was accepted in the past.
Where is University of The Pacific?
I agree with the ‘might apply’. That would be good to add
Also maybe another box where we can write misc. info. special circumstances or something.
Listing AP/IB courses and scores would be nice.
