Stats taken senior year vs before application

Some of the med schools are now requiring statistics as a pre-req. Is it OK to be enrolled for this class senior year when applying to med school summer after junior year or does it have to be completed before application?

probably - I know that was the case for biochem at least.

What year are you in. It is believed that MCAT 2015 will have more stat type questions.

Pretty much every school I looked at requires that you to finish your requirements before you matriculate. There are outliers like Vandy that require the pre-reqs to be completed by the fall semester of year of your application. Obviously, you can’t push too many of your required courses into your senior year.

As texaspg pointed out, if you are taking MCAT 2015, you may be better off taking statistics before the test.

Gulp. dean, do you recall which schools require stats? My son, a senior, did take two semesters of calculus, but not stats.

4 schools in Texas do.

Here is an AP chart which gives an indication of whether it is required and if AP credit might replace it.
