status change help!

Logged in today to find out that I was accepted into Smeal for Fall 2013!
My stats were 29 ACT, 3.98 unweighted GPA, and a ton of college credits I’ve built up over the years.
Good luck to you too!

congratulations fawninghawk!!

My son got the “decision in the coming days” status on Friday. He so anxious and wants to know! Do you think he will have an answer by Tuesday? He is dying!

It seems like everone from my sons high school has heard but him. He applies the 2nd day admissions were accepted. Some who are way below him in rank and don’t have nearly as many EC’s or dual enrollment credits were accepted. His SAT’s are little lower than what he would like but he has a W 4.23, dual enrollment and a ton of EC’s. Is not hearing a cause for concern yet???

Does your son’s high school have Naviance? If not, check the bubble chart: http://admissions.psu.edu/info/counselors/bubble_chart.pdf

It also could depend on the college your son is applying.

My older son had the scores and the gpa, applied early, yet did not hear until Jan.
Good Luck!

According to Naviance, and the scattergram his chances are good for UP…according to the bubble chart, he is likely to be accepted into another campus, which in that case he won’t go. It doesn’t make sense to pay out of state tuition if it isn’t UP. According to the admissions department’s FB page, we should hear by Thursday latest. The wait is killing us!

Sorry for the confusion. I was responding to bLewisjrjr.

“Coming days” definitely means within the week. My s2 has had that status since Friday.

Sent from my SCH-I535 using CC

My son got his acceptance shortly after midnight this morning! Good luck to everyone!
