Status Change?

hey guys.
I log in my checklist but it didn't show as usual-"at the last stage, checklist for ED applicants have been closed".. while it was checklist days before.
How about your guys?
anyting same with me?

yep. same here. it says decision december 10th! 5 days earlier than I though 0_o

Yes it says that! Dec. 10th! eek!

I just read an email from Vassar and it also said I’m getting my decision on Dec. 10th
… I wasn’t expecting it this early!

Do we know how late “the end of the day” is going to be?

I just received the same email. I’m crossing my fingers!
Good luck to all of you guys.
It’ll be a nice set of four more days of anxiety.

does anybody know why they would move up the decision date?

I think(hope) that Vassar might have recieved a lot less ED applications
this year and decided that since they would finish reviewing the applications
a lot sooner they might as well anounce decisions earlier.
any other hypothesis or ideas?

nowcris:haha, I hope your hypo is true than we are all more likely to get offer.

good luck guys!
hope to see everyone in Vassar next year~

In reviewing past years’ decision posts, I don’t think there was ever mention of an online notification. So, another thought is this: Decisions may have always been done by this time, but because this years’ applicants are being notified electronically, it can be done much sooner without all of the envelope stuffing and so on. (Though I’m sure there will be a mailing as well.) Just a hunch! Good luck y’all!

As a current student I’m pretty sure Vassar has never done online notifications. Vassar’s really been trying to cut down on its paper output, so there’s that.

Good luck everyone!

KFL’s theory sounds pretty good to me. and originally they had it at 5 pm friday. but then changed it to the end of the day. so im assuming they should come out by 5pm new york time??

alfie6: I’ve got the same problem. it was “5 p.m” but it is “the end of the day”
anyway, good luck everyone

Tomorrow is the day!! Good luck everyone :D

It’s possible they changed it to “the end of the day” to keep everyone from logging in at once and (possibly?) crashing the server. Also it’s possible they just want to have a little bit a leeway in case everything isn’t up then (but that seems less likely).

And yes, best wishes everyone! This is going to be a very nerve-wracking 23 hours.

I’m freaking out.

it will be 5 pm today
