Status Changed Today

Hey,

My status changed today from "awaiting a preliminary review" to "decision pending".....does that mean I might hear soon...like before Christmas?

I don't know...I wouldn't think the admission teams would work over Xmas break. My status has said decision pending since Nov. 30, but hopefully we'll both hear soon! Good Luck

you'll probabaly hear within the next week if your stats are really good....

if not you'll probably have to wait a few months for the normal decisions

at least that's what i think will happen according to other experiences last year

What counts as "really good" stats and does it make your decision faster if your applying to honors?

My status has changed to "decision pending" too.. I'm glad UW did initial review before the holiday season. :)

Hey does anyone know if the admissions people work over the holiday season? I was just wondering because I am really starting to get nervous about the decision!! And if they arn't continuing to work till Jan. then I still got a long time to be nervous!

my status changed again today from "initial review" to "been reviewed". i wonder how long it's going to take to find out!! that last sentence must be the most vague explanation ever.. "when available " =/

The status of your application was last updated on December 19, 2005.

Your application has been reviewed. All applicants are informed of admission decisions by mail when results of the review process become available.

hey iducky,
i read on an old washington forum that if your status says "reviewed" you can find out whether you have been accepted by clicking on "unoffical transcript" and seeing if you have a student id number. Im not sure if thats the right way to check but if you read old forums on this site you will find out for sure. I hope you got in!

omg thanks laurasmithak !! you're right!! i have a student id number and it says "admitted to autumn 2006" ! i'm so happy i dont' have to fill out any more apps.. uw was the only one i filled out

Hey, iducky.....congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
when did you submit your app? Are you an honors applicant? and if you don't mind me asking....what are your stats? I'm trying to figure out when I might hear back.
