For those who just got status changed to "...forwarded...", could you please post your brief stats, state, school you are applying at USC and first letter of your last name?

Based on last year's discussion thread, this status change may have something to do with the scholarship candidates. For those of us still waiting for the status change, it is a pain and very long weekend.

this is unrelated to the scholarship status changes, but my S just had a change in status today from the “preliminary review” status to this …

We have received your application, and it appears we require no additional information at this time. We will be reviewing applications through the month of March, and we expect to be able to meet our commitment to notify freshmen by April 1st. We often like to see the mid-year grades of freshman applicants. If you have not already done so, please submit your final, fall term marks when they become available. You may submit them at USConnect by clicking “mid-year grade reports”, or by visiting www.usc.edu/midyeargrades. Sometimes, in the course of our review of applications, we find that we need additional information. In such cases we will mail a written request. If you receive a request for more information, please respond promptly.

I don’t think it means anything really, but thought I’d post for those paying attention to these changes.

mine says the same, but from the research i’ve done, none of the status changes matter until it says that they’ve made a decision. i guess my status… and yours… could stay this way until early april at the latest:(

Mine did the same and on the same day too!

ahughes01 We’ve received this status early and it is a bad sign if it is received mid to late February. I don’t think we’ve got anything to worry about yet.

I don’t believe that SC has ever used this status before. It seems to be completely new for this decision cycle.

That being said, I’m pretty sure everyone has this status by now, so there’s nothing left to do but wait and see if a nice package comes your way over the next two weeks.

^^I found it on posts from 2008 and in the 2010 posts too. But students who had it usually received it later on like end of february and it didn’t change until middle to end of march. The only people right now who are receiving status updates that say “committee reviewed” or “forwarded” are for the big scholarships and had to apply by December 10th.

As much as we all want to attain some extra understanding as to the outcome of our applications, over analyzing a status change is not going to help. Trust me, I am in the same boat, but trying to decipher what they mean is not the greatest way to spend time. There is no way we know if being “forwarded” means we are in for scholarships or if a status change means we are solid for acceptance. Also, basing an assumption off a few posts of mysterious CC members in the past is not exactly a fool proof way of getting valid information. We are all second semester seniors…I say let it go and enjoy the end of high school. If it is meant to be it is meant to be.
