<p>Does the "application fee" field on the application status page not update if you pay by check? Harvard has cashed my application fee check, but the website still says my fee isn't paid. The only thing I can think of is that it only updates if you pay online. Did this happen to anyone else?</p>
<p>dont worry about it. i sent a fee waiver request by mail and the status page said fee not paid for a long time. After around 10 days, it said fee waived. So dont worry,they obviously update the fee status later than the rest of the app.</p>

<p>yes theres an application status page. and yes, you need a pin to access it. They take their own sweet time about mailing the pin so dont hold your breath.
But if you sent your application ages back and are getting kind of desperate you can always call them.</p>

<p>actually, you can email <a href="mailto:admpin@fas.harvard.edu">admpin@fas.harvard.edu</a> with the subject line PIN and your full name in the body. if you receive a PIN via email, it means your apps are in.</p>

but I sent the application in online before the deadlines... What is this? Is it when they processed it? Or did something get very screwed up?</p>
<p>i'm pretty sure that the date they post is the processing date.. they didn't process my teacher recommendations until two weeks after the common app. in fact, they still haven't processed my School Report form and i'm starting to get a little worried :/</p>
<p>Thanks for the reassurance, I just thought it was odd because i assumed that since I sent it online their computers would automatically recognize it or something... if anyone else sent theirs over the web and has the same thing going on with the dates please post. I wouldn't worry about them not processing stuff; I think it is happening to everyone - my school and my teachers sent the stuff back in November and it still isn't marked as received.</p>
<p>processing is done manually. when they received your app they don't process it immediately. in peak times like december and january it can take up to 2 weeks for processing. only when it's done will the date appear.</p>
<p>and nosnhojharas - they don't mark "processing" there. its either "not received" or a date. so don't worry!</p>
<p>yeah, i think the date on the site = processing date. both my dates appeared well off the regular admit deadline, so i think it's all good</p>
<p>and they <em>should</em> let you know if they haven't received stuff yet...we can all collectively panic if items are still marked "not received" by mid-February :D</p>
