-Does this mean that I am currently in review?

-How long should I expect to be in this stage?

-And what does this mean for my application?
-Am I in? Or am I false hoping. :(

Just a quick fyi, my GPA is 3.4 and my SAT is 2030, so I'm panicking that my application status changed because I've been hearing that that means I should be hearing from them soon.

Yes, this means that you are currently in review. In my case, I stayed in that status for a month before I received my acceptance letter. For some others, the status lasted for about two weeks, give or take a few days. I'd say, under normal circumstances, expect at least two weeks.

As for what your status means...well, it means what it says exactly :) You are currently being reviewed. While your GPA may be a bit on the low side, your SAT score is decent, so you have a fairly good shot. Good luck!

I'd say you have a great chance of being accepted, because everyone who has gotten accepted in the first wave had the message for about a month. They started sending acceptance on the 29th of February, so you are probably in one of the next few waves.

I had that status for only 3 days, before it changed to "we've acted on your application". But mind you, I had the "we have received your application" status for almost 2 months! Now, I'm just waiting for snail mail for the decision.

So if my d's status has been the same since 2/7, saying "Your application is being reviewed by the admission committee. We will mail notification of their decision by April 1. If for some reason you don't receive our written notice, we will be happy to provide the results over the phone beginning April 11th," any opinions about if that's a good sign or if she's been rejected since we haven't heard anything yet? Stats are 27 ACT and 3.85 GPA, with amazing recs and ECs.

The "being reviewed by the admission" has been proven to the message of someone who has been accepted, so your daughter is probably in the next wave.

Not all the people who have this status have been accepted. However, all of the accepted students so far were in the "currently reviewing" status.
