at 5 pm on december 10th, what is our status page gonna say?
is something gonna pop up, or maybe something crazy, or just text?
im just wondering what to expect.
thanks

Search the archives. I remember them talking about a dancing bear or something like that...

Yeah it's a flash animation of a dancing bear, presumably with some big text CONGRATS!

On mine, after clicking check status, it displayed a short animation with scenes of Cornell, saying congratulations and welcome. Below was a short letter from the admissions office. It's kinda cute, but I actually got my envelope first so it didn't matter. Actually, my Dad spoiled it and read it before me against my wishes :(.

is it as soon as you log in, or do you have to click check application status once you log in, and if you aren't in what does it say?

maybe you're spoiled haha. upset someone read it to you.... pffftt you got in

Dunno what it is if you don't get in, but you do have to click "check status."

Granted, this was two years ago (wow!), and they may have changed it.

did you have dial up or cable, i have dial up so will it take a while to show, or will it be right away, i would hate to have a heart attact only to realize that 10 seconds later it loaded, basically how quick did it load, and were you on dial up or cable

I had DSL at the time, but I honestly don't remeber the loading speed.

At the very least you will see the letter on the page, and can teel if the animation is loading. I doubt they have a happy flash to tell you you're rejected :).

haha, thats a good one, and that would be utterly brutal by Cornell to have an evil dancing bear saying you are rejected, i can only imagine, well thanks for the info again

wait, so Ag, you got your letter before finding out online? does this mean that cornell will send out mail BEFORE dec 11th?

I don't know, I applied RD.

They could have posted it online before I got the letter, I didn't realy check. Some of the schools do rolling admissions for RD, and Ag is one of them. So, I looked online after I got my letter, but it could have been up there days before. I think they will probably post it first, but who knows?
