Status update from Duke?

I applied late feb, and my application status is still (items not received).
did everyone check their application status?

Where can you check your application status? Thanks.

Yeah…I was wondering about that. They said they would give you a PIN in late march, but I never got one.

I still don’t have any information to log in with but I was told not to worry about it and that it should be sent soon… it makes me nervous though not having it confirmed that all my information was received…

does this mean that the original poster has this info?? when did you get it

i think you can get the online id and password by putting information on the duke webpage.

Yeah. That worked. My items also said not received (although, my financial aid stuff is checked off as received).

i was able to log in but nothing is received! nearly everything was sent in january so i have a hard time believing absolutely everything didn’t get there but they just haven’t updated anything for transfers…

has anyone called admissions about this?

Where did you get your on-line ID and password for the Duke webpage?

https://www.admissions.duke.edu/

the middle box where you would log in at the bottom you can click a link to have them resend (or in most of our case send for the first time) your log in info by entering your email address

I’m not worried about it. They said they would send the PIN and such when they were ready. We just jumped the gun.

Anybody get PINs yet?

I’m still waiting on my PIN.

Daughter got an email that her file was incomplete and requesting that she call a certain number. She did and they said her file IS complete. She then went online to check the status of her application and it said the file was NOT complete. She called back the next day and was assured that they DO have everything. She asked why the online system said that she is missing items and was told that they don’t use the online system for Transfer students so it is not up to date and is NOT a way to know your app status if you have applied as a transfer.

Thanks for your post #1travlr. Good luck to you all.

Yeah, I just checked my application status as well. The website looks nifty. Apparently I haven’t submitted anything for my application yet, either…

thank god…I thought it was only me…I guess they will email me if my documents are not there.

if they are not planning on using the website for transfers does that mean that we are getting our decisions in the mail around may 15th?

No idea about whether you will be getting them only in the mail. I would think that that’s likely or you will get an email in addition to a letter, but the office of admissions was very clear that they weren’t keeping the site updated as to whether application files were complete. Further, the email my daughter received stated that she needed to be in touch with them prior to April 10 to supply whatever it was they thought was missing (that turned out not to be) or they would cancel her application. So if you haven’t heard anything via email, that’s good news for you and you should assume your apps are complete. The April 10 date stated in her letter signifies for all of you that consideration of applications is in the active stage right now.
