Just wondering if anyone else got this, my status just recently changed to a shorter message saying an initial review of my application was complete and I still need to submit my mid-year report, with a link to it. Separate from the "we have completed an initial review...we require no further...."

Haven't gotten my report card yet so can't submit but my school sends my grades automatically to all the schools I applied to regardless

mine just changed to this “We have completed an initial review of your application and would like to see the results of the first term of your senior year (final, not mid-term marks).”

does this mean anything? i haven’t submitted my grades yet

We have received your application, and it appears we require no additional information at this time. We will be reviewing applications through the month of March, and we expect to be able to meet our commitment to notify freshmen by April 1st. We often like to see the mid-year grades of freshman applicants. If you have not already done so, please submit your final, fall term marks when they become available. You may submit them at USConnect by clicking “mid-year grade reports”, or by visiting www.usc.edu/midyeargrades.
they didn’t even request my mid year grades…my chances are looking bleak haha good luck to you guys

@mpball28, mine said the same thing. Does that mean they are planning to reject us?

@radtomato47 I dunno, I don’t really expect to get in anyways, and I think if they asked for our mid year grades that would mean they are at least considering us. I don’t know your grades or anything, but I don’t think its a good sign… unless we are already in and they don’t need any more grades. but I don’t think thats the case haha

All it means is that they want your grades. Relax! All students not already admitted are asked to send grades, and 85% of students who will be admitted have not yet been.

^but thats the point, we were NOT asked to submit mid-year grades

My son was never asked to submit mid-year grades and was accepted. It happens.
