Status

Hello,

I applied to USF mid-September and on my status page, it has had the following messages for weeks now.

"Thank you for applying for admission to the University of South Florida. We have not reached our final decision regarding your admission candidacy."

"Your application is currently under review. A final decision will be made shortly and you will be notified by mail of the decision."

It seems like everyone is finding out that they got accepted but me, and most of the people have lower stats than me. I sent everything to them and they received everything of mine by the end of September. Now, we are in November. People who are applying AFTER me, are hearing back BEFORE me. Why is this happening?

Btw, my stats are:
-4.44 Weighted GPA
-Ranked 125/746
-1300/1890 SAT
-27 ACT
-334 community service hours
-A total of 7 AP classes throughout high school
-2 dual enrollment classes
-A few EC's such as debate and honor societies
-Florida resident, applied for summer

Anybody know why it's taking them so long?

UPDATE:

I just checked and I have finally been accepted.

The weird thing is that I applied for summer 2012 and they accepted me for fall 2012.

Anybody know why that is? Could it be that they accepted me for honors? and honors starts in fall not summer?

^^^^^
GREAT !
Please post, if you can, the web status page indicating your acceptance . Were you accepted just now ?

they did the same thing to me!! I asked and they said that there’s not much of a course selection in the summer as far as classes go, and if you have high stats you most likely will be better starting classes in the fall, rather than taking gen eds in the summer that you already have credit for (like through AP credits, etc.)

congrats!!! :)
