stay at rutgers?

Hi guys,

Currently, I am an undergrad student at the rutgers pharmacy program. I really the school a lot a lot and made a lot of good friends and contacts. However, I am not sure on whether I should pursue pharmacy. Though I like the major, I am unsure of it in the long run and think I will be unhappy in the future.

As a result, I applied as a transfer and was accepted to my dream school NYU STERN. I have talked to numerous individuals and many hate it and that makes me really nervous to attend and accept the offer. At the same time, I do not want to leave my secure pharmacy program. In the end, I still cannot decide between pharmacy and business and do not want to regret making the wrong choice. Lastly, I do not want to attend Rutgers business school as i am unsure of its opportunities compared to those presented by NYU.

Any thoughts or suggestions on what I should do?
Thank you so much!

School is what you make out of it. Just because other people hated Stern doesn’t mean you’ll hate it too. If you don’t have the passion for pharmacy and want to stop pursuing the career, go to Stern. Follow your own heart, not what others tell you.

Do what makes you happy…

thats the thing…i dont know what makes me happy because its still to early. Also, i’ve made so many friends at Rutgers and i really don’t want to lose them

If you like pharmacy, then you should just continue and end up applying to Stern for MBA later on. Also, heard that a lot of pharmacy students don’t even enjoy the field but do it because it pays around 120k and not the whole long time for medical school.

querty, what did you decide to do?

Sometimes it’s hard to know if you like a major because your first two years of courses tend to be so general.
