Staying after final exams during winter break

Hello everyone!

I know students are supposed to leave campus 24 hours after their last exam, but how strictly is that rule enforced? I'm done with final exams on December 13, but the residence halls close on December 20. Does this mean I can't stay an extra 2-3 days and leave on December 15 or 16 instead? Also, if I do need to stay a couple more days after final exams are over, I know I have to talk to the Residence Hall Director. But do you usually have to pay to stay an extra few days?

Just wanted to know, thanks guys! :D

I think you should be fine. I’m not sure, though, since my exams are always on the last day.

Worst case scenario, you can crash at a friend’s at Clairmont or a fraternity or sometihng.

I don’t see why you couldnt stay since the dorms don’t close until the 20th. My son has the last exam on the 19th so he will be there.

When do most of the kids return in January? Classes for the college start on tuesday the 15, so do the kids go back the day before?

Res Life has been pretty strict about unknown stayovers, since they use that time to work on the dorms. Better to ask.

Returning the day before classes start is the general rule.
