staying back another year

so i was just thinking. if i do not get into my preferred choice of school, should i stay back another year at ccc? i mean i have all my classes out of the way, so im not sure what classes i would take for the next 2 semesters. i could probably work more on my ecs and stuff.

this is my second year at a community college so if i do stay back it'll be my third. will i be looked down upon? or is 3 years normal?

3 years is really normal actually.
few actually leave after 2 years, so don’t feel so bad.

I’m thinking the same thing because my major won’t really get a me a job. If I stay another year, I’ll major in business and go to a CSU; most likely San Jose State or San Diego State. I’ll only need to take an extra 5-6 classes. I’ll seriously consider it if I don’t get a a strong financial aid package or I don’t get accepted to the UC I want. We’ll see in a month.

yeah. im applying to all the business schools including haas. i have all A’s except for one class but if i stay back they’ll have a chance to consider my spring 2013 grades as well. maybe that’ll help. i dunno. so confused. anyone have any suggestions?!!!

Don’t stress out yet, you need to wait until decisions are released so you can compare all your options.

I decided to become an English major at the start of the fall semester. I had two english classes done, but I crammed 3 English classes (prereqs) into this spring semester. Will the UCs not like that they can’t see my spring grades for my major related classes? Would it be better to spend another year at CC and reapply once I have the grades (I should get A’s) to show for? Or do they just care that I’m transfering with them finished?

funny thing is If i get accepted to uci ive been at my CCC for 2 semesters (5 if you count ja 1 and 2 during senior year and the 2 classes over the summer)

You definitely can. I knew someone who applied to UCB and UCLA (accepted to both) for one major (Don’t remember which) and at the end of the year decided to switch majors so he stayed back at CC, finished the classes for his desired major, and is now at UCB. Anything is possible. You could apply again to a UC at the end of next year.
