My sister loves ALL the schools she applied to. I'm just wondering if it's okay to stay on three schools' wait-lists at the same time.

Thank you! Good luck with April 10!

It is perfectly acceptable.

What if two or more took her off the wait-list??? Is it okay to say no to a school that admitted her after M10? Will it be fair for other candidates? Or is it just what everyone does?

It is highly unlikely that more than one is going to take a student off the list. The WL is just too big this year. If you are taken off a list you have to make a decision right away - take the offer, or decline it and hope another will take you.

But frankly - only stay on a WL if you would be happy attending and won’t be wondering “what if” about the others.

Take the offer if you can afford it and don’t look back. If others come in at the same time, it is perfectly okay to thank them and decline their offer.

Generally, if you are called from the waitlist, you must commit within a few days. So if your sister commits and then gets a call from a different WLed school, she would decline and they would move to the next person on their list. Don’t worry. They’ve got PLENTY of people on the waitlists - even after April 10th.

She should stay on all three waitlists.

Thanks! Good luck to your D, neato!!! And to Exie’s D at Taft =D
