Staying up...

What do you guys do to stay up?

I need to cram a lot tonight and I'm afriad I'll just be too tired to do it. So give me tips...red bull, coffee, etc?

listen to a song really loud (on headphones) slap yourself in the face a couple of times and you should be good for another half an hour

red bull = very bad. You will feel good but then you will severly crash. Id drink coke, but try to stick to gatorade, and maybe run around when you get real tired. Try to keep the caffeine for an hour before you go to the test. If you can manage the night w/o it, you will do a lot better tom.
One time I was driving on the highway with my brother after he was plowing for like 40hrs, a good way to get him to wake up is to blare the radio for a few seconds. Granted you might have to do this often, but it works.

Umm.. my friend puts ice on her eyes... She's convinced it helps keep people alert and awake.. I've never tried that rather...interesting... method though lol

haha interesting tips guys...keep em coming.

So red bull is a bad idea? I figured they'd just help me stay up till around 1-3 and then I'd just crash in my bed and go to sleep.

am I right in thinking this?

Ive had 3 red bulls today... works for me

its kept me going through 5 AP tests so far, 2 to go

I don't take an AP test without a Red Bull, but if the crashing thing is true... I definitely felt a wave of fatigue during my Psych test today.

I believe that wave was a normal curve crashing into you...... bastard question

For ap bio, I just crammed and crammed the entire day before. when i started getting tired, I called my friend, she kept me going (she likes to stay up at odd hours lol). Drank a lot of cold berry juice, the sugar helped. When I got tired around 1:30, i set my alarm for 4:30, and that sufficed me. Got everything covered too. Stay away from energy drinks if you don't think you can handle them, they might make you crash . . they taste pretty bad anyway lolz.

Drink lots of cold water.

not consuming some form of caffeine before an AP test is just stupid

I took 5 this year and didn't drink caffeine before any one of them. I'm pretty sure I did fine

you should just take coffee mixed with redbull before you study. also, you could try ergopharm AMP, which really gives you a kick

sobe adrenaline rush > redbull

It tastes really good and keeps you awake for atleast 4 hours...might be a bit too strong though. For staying up, it may sound silly, but just keep eating fruits like apples and oranges and it keeps you alert. Have you guys heard of Redline? You have to be 18 to buy it and it makes you shake...def. want to try it.

My strategy: get up from your chair, stand perfectly straight and fall to the ground trying not to bend your knees and only break the fall with your hands at the last second. I did this every 15 minutes last night before the chem test and it kept me awake. I started studying last night and i read throught the entire Princeton Review book, well the actual review sections with content in them. I learned more chem in one night than i did all year in class, lol. BTW, i thought the test was a breeze, and that the PR book was an excellent review source, concise yet thorough.

go spash some cold cold water on your face every 30 minutes or so. or go outside and take a walk while reviewing all the information in your head, I prefer working out, but that's just me.

LoL... Wow guys, some really "creative" and funny methods our there!

Yeah, you guys are, uh, "creative."

I've never really had a problem staying up. If there's urgency or I need to study for something, staying up till 3 or 4 in the morning isn't really a problem, even without caffine...hmm.

yeaaaa i don't use caffiene unless its 4+

and even then i usually drink in the mornings

hell I've made excellent grades on AP's after EXACTLY 2 hours of sleep night before.

i blare a rap song when I feel really tired. or jump up and down on my bed. or get a drink.

at around 2 as a rule I play basketball for 20 minutes, just shoot around. some ppl prefer working out but that bores me. bball helps a lot.

thats my method :) time tested and proven by me.

i take 2 shots of hard liquor..

no lie.
