Is it really true that 1 in 3 people have an std in santa barbara??

it’s more like STI - Sexually Transmitted Infections. You get it when you’re around too many parties.

Yeah I just know that ucsb gets a bad rap for its percentage of STDs at the school which is supposedly 1/3 but I heard the average at colleges across the country is 1/4 so if that number for ucsb is true that’s only about 8% more.

I was just kidding… it’s a rumor man. I highly doubt it’s anywhere that high. It’s ridiculous what people spread about SB just cause they party a lot.

Here’s a quote from UCSB’s SexInfo site (a site focusing on general information about sexuality):
[UCSB SexInfo Online - STD Infection at UCSB](http://www.soc.ucsb.edu/sexinfo/question/std-infection-at-ucsb)

Just don’t be stupid. Make sure both you and your “partner” get tested before you have any type of sexual contact (at the same time please)… Including oral sex. Someone’s word isn’t enough, plus… Most people do not even know they’re infected.

Not like anyone is going to listen anyway. But it pays to be smart. Don’t want to be stuck with herpes because someone told you they were ~clean~ (you can get STIs from oral sex too JSYK).

BUT HEY, WHAT DO I KNOW?!

STDs with students seems to be on the increase, just always wear protection because you really don’t know where your companion for the night has been!

Also, before you go running to the clinics because you think something might be going wrong always think of the natural causes. Aarlier I found a hilarious info-graphic called “Flaccid Truth Erectile Dysfunction” here: [Dr Fox - The Flaccid Truth About Erectile Dysfunction](Dr Fox online clinic - The Flaccid Truth About Erectile Dysfunction - Dr Fox) Its a really informative but funny way in explaining the multiple ways that we can get erectile dysfunction.
