Hi,

First of all I'd like to say I am a long time viewer, first time poster.

My grades through sophomore year are:

Washington State University
Arizona State University
Oregon State University
Western Washington University
Virginia Commonwealth University (BA/MD)
University of Oregon
University of Arizona
University of Washington

Am I aiming too low or too high?

I hope my GPA will improve over the next two years, and I have a decent amount of EC's.

Thanks a lot for any help.

bump please..

bump again please

bump again please

This is such a refreshing post. Why? Because 1) you are honestly seeking people's opinion and you want to apply to schools that aren't commonly talked about on CC. CC sometimes makes it seem like there are only 20 colleges in the US: the Ivys, and the other handful of schools with admission rates <30%.

I don't know much about the admission policies of those schools you listed, but I know that many schools don't look at, or even care much about, your freshman grades. But even if they do care to look, they will see you have progressed, as you noted, from Cs to As and will be impressed. If you can pull off an SAT of 1600-1800, you should be set!

Thanks for your reply.

I thought a 1600-1800 score was quite low.

Am I wrong?

bump please

bump again please

Bump...you're welcome.

No, jk. See how it goes your junior year. If you can maintain a 3.8-4gpa next year then def aim higher. But the thing is, I'm not sure i know anything about the colleges you listed above...but w/e.

oh ok thanks for the reply

bump please

bump again please

You might be able to get into Drexel with a sats near 2k i believe

1600-1800 is low for CC, it's quite decent in the real world.

Steady improvement is a plus. I don't know much about those schools, but I think if you keep on improving you'll definitely have a shot at them. Are you in-state for any of them? If so, that'll help.

I am in-state for 3 of those colleges because I live in WA (UW, WSU, WWU)

and for Drexel, do you mean the Drexel normal undergrad. or the MD Program?

Thanks for your replies.

bump please

bump again please

bump again please

wow thats alot of bumps...
