Hi everyone! I have been lurking on threads of admitted NYU students and am anxious to apply to NYU next year. I would love to major in Clinical Psychology so that I can have the ability to work in mental hospitals. Should I apply to Steinhardt or CAS? I have read the online brochure about the applied psych program vs psychology but am still confused. What is the real difference between the programs? Applied psych is essentially a social work program. To be frank, all of the people I knew in applied psych either transferred out to regular psych, or ended up going back to school because applied psychology wasn’t marketable or useful. Clinical psychology is only offered at the graduate level (PhD), so it’s not an option as a major
