For my letters of recommendation, I am thinking of asking two teachers that I have good relationships with that I took STEM courses with. I was told that I should have a recommendation from a STEM teacher as well as one from a humanities teacher. Should I consider asking one of my humanities teachers even though I do not have as strong a relationship with them? I am planning on going into a STEM field in the future.
In the ideal world, you want a STEM rec and a humanities rec, but I always think the best recs are from the teachers who really like you and who you really like. If you have been participating in class and putting forth effort, then you should get a good rec. I might reconsider if you are thinking of two math teachers though. Adcoms want to see different aspects of your personality.
