So how long does someone stay at this step? DS submitted on 11/30 with application and scholarship paperwork. Step two shows all documents arrived but I guess haven't been processed. He should be an auto admit. If there was something missing, wouldn't there be a comment about missing docs? The only thing not listed are SAT/ACT reports, but they were sent in Oct and it says they won't be available until app is processed.

Is it just taking longer because lots of people submitted for the dec 1 deadline, or should he call and ask?

It should move on to Step 3 very soon. Thats very close to how it was for me…I submitted the application on 11/29 and had everything else submitted before. The received the application on 11/30 and it wasn’t until yesterday that they processed it. But once the application has been processed, it will show you what has been turned in and what hasn’t. If everything is checked then your good to go!

I know waiting stinks …but …patience. S1 applied to Rice on October 30th and just received their rejection today. He applied to A&M 11/30 (auto admit) and will probably hear very quickly according to the timelines given here. Hang in there.

He’s an academic admit, so I knew he’d get accepted, just thought I’d chronicle the timeline for others in the same boat. (step two did seem like forever, even though it was only a few weeks).

Good luck to your son–mine’s an Eagle too! :)

It’s now December 16th, and AIS still tells me that I’m on step 2, even though I called A&M and verified that I submitted all my required documents.
