Step Parent Effect On Financial Aid?

I'm currently a senior in high school preparing my application for college and trying to calculate about how much financial aid I will be granted.

My parents were never married and my mother (having full custody) was legally a single mother for almost the entirety of my life, until about a month ago when she married my stepfather. He makes significantly more money than both my mother and my father. Will his tax information be considered when applying for financial aid? Also, will I qualify for first-generation student scholarships if he has graduated from college but my mother and father haven't?

We're all just trying to figure this out because I'm basically clueless...hoping somebody on here could offer some insight!

Thank you!!

Yes, your Stepdad’s income will be considered when applying for FA. Schools that use FAFSA and schools that use CSS profile will use his info.

If you reside with your mom and stepdad, both of their financials will be required for the FAFSA and for the Profile.

Your dad (and a spouse if he has one) will complete the non-custodial parent Profile.

Schools compute a FAMILY contribution. And your stepdad is now a member of your family.

I posted in wrong place, sorry.
