<p>Is this program invite-only? I heard that emails were sent out to a select few about STEP. As I have not received such an email nor do I see it on the myadmissions page, I’m wondering if others have. Any other information greatly appreciated.</p>

<p>They invite you if you applied to EOP when you submitted your UC application. In order to apply for EOP you have to be 1st generation and/or low income.</p>
<p>huh im first gen and low income but i didn’t apply to that…i didn’t really know about it actually. I wonder if that would have affected my admission decision…</p>
<p>EOP… don’t really remember about it, so don’t think I signed up for it, although I am first gen.</p>
<p>@bookworm, I dont think it affected your decision, applying to EOP is not supposed to be a part of the admission criteria, but with UC’s you never now. I’m starting to think that the admission process is just random lol. If you get in you, you can still apply to the program. </p>
<p>@ possible if you are interested in the program, you can call them and ask if you qualify, if you do i think they’ll send you an application.</p>

haha yea, they do seem preeeetty random these days, I shudder at how hard it will be for kids 10 years from now to get in</p>

<p>@skyline I was told that they are having problems with the admissions website, they said it should be working tomorrow. No one I know has been able to apply yet</p>
<p>@possible Contact EOP, dont email them, call them. The number is on the admissions website. I emailed them about two weeks ago and they still havent replied.</p>
