Hi guys, it’s that time of year again (admission process for Ann Arbor opening).
The situation is that I’m a college undergraduate (second semester) freshman currently attending UofM-Dearborn. I’d like to transfer to Ross (very selective business school at Ann Arbor), and would like your insight as to how probable my chances of being admitted are (note that I already know the transfer rate is 1%).
Currently, my GPA is a 4.0, with courses from first semester including Calculus I, Macroeconomics, etc. and am currently taking Calculus II (though it is not required), Microeconomics, etc., and am maintaining As.
Concerning extra-curricular activities, my current status is somewhat bleak, as I have not been doing any extra-currics (Dearborn being a commuter college, I’m not using this as an excuse, I’m just saying I haven’t really found much opportunity or interest in the student organizations offered here).
Aside from this, though, I did have a somewhat strong background in high school, did debate team for 3 years, did swimming for one year, went on exchange for the entire year in the 12th grade to Germany, and was a student council officer junior year.
Based on this information–and the matter of fact that Ross is so competitive–what would you evaluate (or guess) my chance of admission to the Stephen M. Ross school of business in Ann Arbor to be?
Thank you, your time and help is appreciated.
