State: we all live on farms and grow corn and raise pigs (99% not true where I live although my best friend does live on a pig farm haha)

School: rich white spoiled athletic kids (so true) our school is fairly well known in the eastern half of the state but thats only because our football team normally makes it to at least state quarterfinals

State: Corruption, mobsters, corn, hillbillies, funny accents
HS: That high school where they send to the ‘bad’ kids from neighboring schools so that they won’t get in fights.

Country: Overweight, dysfunctional Congress, stupid politicians blah!, united in time of turmoil, divide over issues like health care and sex, rebuilding country, strongest army in the world, bout to start up war in middle east…

State: Rich, good schools, stuck-up, full of older people, absolutely nothing to do, no reason anyone would ever want to come here
HS: Poor, ghetto (for suburbs), underachieving, promiscuous, full of stoners… etc.

Haha Ok, UKgirl, hit me. What are some stereotypes about the US? Preferably not the obvious ones like dumb, militaristic, fat etc.

Oh yea, I forgot another one about my state: Flannel-wearing. I never really noticed this one until it was pointed out to me, but yea, there is a lot of flannel around here. :P

Oh yes, and as an American, I have a few more stereotypes about the UK:

Tea-drinking, bad-teeth, techno-crazed (well, all of Europe, really), very white, crowded, football-crazed (soccer, I mean ;)), prim and proper, smoggy.

I could think of more depending on which part of the UK you live in.
