Stereotypes of each residential college

What are the stereotypes of each residential college, like which one is the most social, most quiet, etc?

Here's a good thread from last year to answer your questions:

Lovett- The best looking people at Rice. This stereotype is true

I'd have to vote for Sid for best-looking people. (even though I'm at Hanszen)

torres-
I had to smile at your post-- I still remember when you didnt think the Rice students were attractive. Glad times have changed :)

They all suck except for Hanszen (according to D). (friendly rivalry)

MOWC-
No argument here! Hanszen rules!

I'm going to be coadvising at Hanszen so I think it is pretty cool too.

torres-
For Oweek?

Hanszen is definitely the best.

Yep, I am coadvising with Becky and Ted.

Ted is awesome, btw.

Ted Weiber, by any chance?

::shrugs:: Of course I'm sure there are other Teds in Hanszen... but I've met this Ted and he is awesome. (He was my friend's room mate last year, and he led my tour on my campus visit this spring.)

Ted from Atlanta?

Yes it is Theodore Wieber the third. He is a really cool guy. Jym626 are you advising at Hanszen?

and he is from Atlanta

torres-
I will only be advising from afar. I am a parent! My s will be a junior in Hanszen. I believe I originally met Ted here, on CC, and gave him some advise. Then we met at the local Rice picnic for parents, students alums and, most importantly, incoming freshmen. I am thinking he might be the fourth student in my s's suite in the "new" section this coming year, but I am not sure how that all played out.

He is a really cool guy, and he did an awesome job with the campus tour.

jym- I guess your s might be in the same suite as my friend who's at Rice... I know he got into one of the suites in the new section and it makes sense that he and ted might stick together. But yeah, I don't know how all that worked out either... I just know he didn't get kicked off campus. : )

kathryn.
I just talked to my s. Apparently with the "point value" thing with the different classes, if Ted had roomed with them, as a rising soph, it would have pulled their point value too low for them (rising juniors) to get the room they wanted. So, alas, Ted isn't their 4th roommate. Oh well. He's a nice guy. I take it from your post that he (Ted) didn't get jacked off campus this yr. Or did you mean your friend?? I couldn't quite tell which "he" you meant. However, in defense of off campus housing (my s got jacked off campus this past year), it turned out to be a good experience for him (though I wasn't too happy about it at first). In fact, he is still living in the duplex this summer with a bunch of other summer interns, so he didn't end up having to move out of the dorm and into a house/apt for the summer. I guess things all work out in the end!
