Stereotypical CC Posts

I’m sorry for posting the rude message about CC. It probably won’t happen again, at least on here.

I love it guys! keep going…you’ve really made it your own.

I really like this girl, and I think she likes me too, but I’m not sure. What should I do? Ask her out on a date? NEVER!!

Is it ok/cool to wear underwear or shoes in college?

How do I become gay?- HELP!

What is the best school to get an education at?- HELP

Can I major in grocery bagging and is it practical?

 • Oh just follow your heart and it will lead you to Walmart

Our DD128467749036821 went to a very, VERY competitive, highly ranked high school & was val just like her parents. We made sure she got into the Ivy we selected for her (and if she didn’t like it - tough). Right before leaving the “nest” DH & I gave her (and all kids eventually) a long lecture. She is only to leave her room for class, meals, and fire drills (her room had a bathroom). She is not to talk to any strangers aside from her professors. She has not returned our calls since move-in day - we are very worried.

Our DS (not DH’s gaming device!) was rejected from his top choice (another Ivy). We took everything away including his laptop & his mattress. He was later accepted & received excellent merit $$$ from his second choice (another Ivy). But as soon as we stepped onto the campus and looked at the guide’s teeth, off the list it went. I ultimately chose a lesser, not-so-good school for him (Fashion Institute of Technology) as punishment for having problems with other schools.

Our youngest DD8592073358843297221364385 (still in h.s.) is disappointing us so far. GPA fresh year was a 3.8. Her SAT score wasn’t any better - when I saw the first digit was below the norm “2”, I couldn’t have taken her toiletries away any faster. DH and I are left wondering where we could have gone wrong in raising such underachieving children - why they are so unintelligent.

chance me!!!

LOL nov9th those are the best yet!

Here’s mine:

HELP I SUBMITTED MY APPLICATION 1 MINUTE LATE WILL THEY ACCEPT IT?!?

My favorite posts were by sauronvoldermort and charizardpal. For those of you who weren’t here a few years ago, look them up. If they were real people I hope they got help.

Haha, I always lurk in the parents’ forum for laughs. Some of those “DD wants to be an Vietnamese paraplegic acrobat on acid, what should she major in?” threads are pretty entertaining.

I’m just coming out of 7th grade and right now I am like crying. I got a freaking 680 on a math section of the blue book. I mean I don’t know what’s wrong, I study three hours a day and an ----ing 680?

On a side note what do you think of my self study AP sched for next year!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
AP Psych
AP Human Geo
AP CS
AP Euro
AP US
AP Physics C

I know a little bit heavy but nothing compared to what I am doing next year. I do want to get into Harvard people. Sure stanford would be ok but what if I had to go to that gnasty yale or even ppp prince—. I don’t even want to say it

HELP!!!

You need safeties

“I do want to get into Harvard people”

i want to get into a harvard person too

^^eww.

“rate my college list!!!
reaches: harvard, oxford
matches: princeton, yale, mit, stanford
safties: umm what?”

hey, that other person wanted multiple harvard people, i happen to be more civilized

angry male sci/engineering kid It’s not fair! I worked my ass off to get into MIT’s Chem E program and those itchy vaginas stroll right in and have it easy - scholarships, merit aid, easier admissions! I get infuriated when I look around AstroParticleOpticsCosmo-PhysicsEngineering class and the two dumb broads are smearing lip gloss on each other while the rest of us are building this rocketspaceship for NASA!

Elite LAC kid Pshh, certainly I got into Princeton, but I chose ____ instead! Why go to some sprawling research institute where the professors won’t grace you with a glance? Here at WillSwarthamherst College, our #1 priority is Undergraduate education. The professors are our best friends, we frolick hand-in-hand through the pristine quads of our isolated New England campus, they assist our every move and tirelessly devote themselves to us, in the endless pursuit of cultivating our precious minds. I actually feel sorry for those misguided, pretentious, approval-cravers at HYPSM, the most they’ll see of a professor is the back of his uncaring head from the last row, in a lecture hall full of 640000000000000000000000000000001 people. Besides, mummy always paid more attention to Jeremy and Lilliane, so here is my chance to earn praise in a small, sheltered learning environment where we’ll all be one big happy family! :)

LOL @ nov9th…the parents posts are the best, the way they micromanage everything! D1 is having trouble adjusting to doing laundry on her own. It is the first time she’s been alone in such an environment since gel-candle making camp in 6th grade. DH reccommended she switch to a new fabric softener to alleviate itchy bedsheets, while DMIL has volunteered to relocate near campus to assist D1 with any softening needs. I would do it myself, but S2a is struggling in his third year nearby, and DH and I have dedicated ourselves to constant round-the-clock LSAT prep - how he expects to get into Yale Law with his abysmal practice 176, I can’t imagine!

HAHAHA LogicWarrior, your cruise ship made my day :D.

Btw, I was just wondering about what the user titles mean and searched for “difference between junior member and senior members” and here are some of the results:

Difference between Ross and Wharton

Is there a difference between A-s and As?

Difference between English Lit and English Language

Difference between an engineering major and a physics major …

Difference between A and A+ for grad school

Oh and I just saw this:
What looks good on a college application 9th, 10th, 11th grade?

 • from an 8th grader

“URGENT QUESTION: does 1.5 generation count as 1st gen? or no?”

My son got into harvard, but now he does not want to go there…

*** why?! I would kill for Harvard. Some parents just like to brag rofl.

■■■■ I hate my life. I got my sat scores back and I only got a 2350.

I think the post that most captured the essence of CC was:

“how many decimal places do colleges take your GPA out to? do colleges round or truncate your GPA?”

The posts where parents micromanage their children’s lives are really weird too. I feel sorry for their kids, who never get to do what they want to do.

Lol I missed this:

pre-meds . . .
