Economics and Political Science Double major

Most likely a white male or an Asian, wants to hold public office, a bit nerdy but still plugged into the social scene, probably leans to the left of center but is considered right-of-center by humanities department standards. She now feels justified in liking crappy pop music because the professor she worships as a god told her he doesn’t think about music in subjective terms like ‘like’ and ‘dislike,’ and that all music is equally fascinating to him. She’s still trying to ascend to that level; meanwhile, she won’t shut up about cultural appropriation, yodelling, movie soundtracks as a cultural phenomenon, and ethnomusicology–all things she’s more passionate than knowledgeable about. She’s not too familiar with music history.

Despite her resolve to view music objectively and with an open mind, she can’t stand doom metal and can’t understand why that makes people laugh at her.
