<p>We know they’re not all nerds. No stereotype is true in 100% of cases. But this thread is about stereotypes and generalizations. It’s about saying what society would first say about people in that major, not necessarily what is true of all of them.</p>
<p>Let’s use your example: Environmental science major? Didn’t pay attention in grade school geography or earth science, but feels incredibly bad about it so takes this major to make up for it. [Of course, there’s much more to it than that. But this is for jokes!]</p>
