Stereotyping by College Major

<p>Nerdy asain guy. Loves video games and wants to be a video game designer, but parents want him to do something more practical.</p>

<p>Hearts rocks and mountain climbing</p>

<p>Dance and women’s studies double major (guy)</p>

<p>Probably had an abusive mother and is gay.</p>

<p>Psychology / Philosophy double major</p>

<p>Incense-burning hippie that wears flowy skirts with obscure patterns. Has no idea that her psychology major is useless without continuing after undergrad. </p>

<p>Communications
lol I guess this writes itself, though.</p>

<p>Had a LinkedIn since age 14. Uses the words “business casual”, “mentor”, and “social entrepreneurship” the way Annoying Facebook Girl uses <3s. Will end up graduating in 6 six and then take twice as long to “find himself”.</p>

<p>Won’t have a job 10 years from now.</p>

<p>ChemE for the parents; English to live the dream. Will end up writing for a chemical engineering magazine.</p>

<p>Same as philosophy majors, my guess is the languages are to help read stuff in the original languages. So the standard “head in the clouds but clever” stereotype should hold.</p>

<p>Mathematics with a minor in philosophy</p>

<p>Mathematics for mother and father dearest, philosophy for true passion. Will end up writing an allegory based on her parents’ pushing. </p>

<p>Environmental Education major, religious studies minor.</p>

<p>Middle School Science like teacher (but most likely hops school to school as a “special environmental guest”) minors in religion just to win debates in his Bible study group. </p>
