Stereotyping by College Major

<p>They want to work for Disney, some other well-known entertainment company.</p>

<p>Mechanical engineering</p>

<p>Most likely Indian. Will work for a boring engineering company for 6 months before realizing how boring life as an engineer is. Had one of heck of a time in college though (intense studying → intense partying).</p>

<p>Economic History + Statistics (Double major)</p>

<p>The guy who makes the charts in the economic section for CNN. Or works for a big company with big charts. And loves numbers. Will often compare economic crisis to the Great Depression. </p>

<p>Communicative Disorders + Psychology (Double Major)</p>

<p>Someone obviously reads Chomsky a bit much (I do too). </p>

<p>**Economics and Philosophy **</p>

<p>(Yes, I want to be a lawyer. Got a problem with it?)</p>

<p>Is a quiet person who enjoys reading and will one day be very rich off of playing the stock market.</p>

<p>French and Theatre (Double Major)</p>

<p>Girl who never grew out of high school. Can be seen sitting in the hall giggling with her friends about various boys who are ā€œdefinitely into herā€.</p>

<p>Computer Science and Linguistics (Double major)</p>

<p>interesting combination, obviously, someone interested in understanding complex systems, whether it be a spoken language or… code…?</p>

<p>English</p>

<p>What can you do, with a BA in English? Sorry, it had to be done. </p>

<p>Um, a person who has passion for literature and is possibly a grammar Nazi. Will either become a teacher or a secretary. Will fight over lots of jobs with Communication majors after graduation. </p>

<p>Film Major and Asian Studies Minor (my friend’s combo)</p>

<p>Either a Bollywood fanatic, a kdrama addict, or an otaku.</p>

<p>International Studies with minor in Environmental Policy</p>

<p>Someone who will live in the middle of Iceland, earning tons of money in the future.</p>

<p>Nerd x-ing</p>

<p>philosophy and econ, music minor</p>

<p>Idolizes John Lennon. Ultimate goal in life is to communicate universal truths and social commentary through incredibly deep song lyrics.</p>

<p>Double major in Theatre and Economics</p>

<p>A day trader that sings at the local production on Saturdays.</p>

<p>Comparative Linguistics with a minor in Anthropology.</p>

<p>Aspires to be a first contact missionary in Papua New Guinea.</p>

<p>History with a Computer Science minor.</p>

<p>Total War, Empire Earth and Age of Empires</p>

<p>Astrophysics and electrical engineering</p>

<p>Wants to be a politician and if that doesn’t work out your flipping burgers at the king. </p>

<p>Regardless of actual career plans, claims to want to be either a veterinarian or a pediatrician.</p>

<p>English/Music Minor</p>

<p>He/she aspires to become the next great music reviewer/writer for The Rolling Stones, or some magazine/newspaper. Or he/she might want to look into graduate work or freelance. Lots of options with that.</p>

<p>B.S. Architectural Studies and B.A. Art History double major (something I’m thinking about LOL, don’t be too harsh).</p>

<p>Would go on to great things if anyone was still building cathedrals.</p>
