Stern 2007 Transfer Chances

I'm about to be a sophomore at the University of Maryland - College Park and I'm thinking about transfering to NYU Stern for the Fall of 2007 as a junior. I just had a few questions about it, so hopefully you guys can help me out

As a junior transfer student is it really difficult to be social and meet people?

and of course, what are my chances of getting in?

Currently at UMD College Park at the Robert H. Smith School of Business
Cumulative GPA: ~3.51 (33 credits, not counting summer & AP courses)
Major: Marketing & International Business

President's Scholarship
Academic Achievement Award from the Office of Multi-Ethnic Student Affairs
Activities: Smith Start (VP of Administration), Smith Fellows Orientation Mentor, Amercian Marketing Association, Smith Women's Society.. and a few other clubs/activities
Can probably get pretty good letters of recommendation as well

Attended a competitive HS in New Jersey that didn't rank
GPA: 3.9
SAT: 1310 (700M, 610V)

THANKS!

you will most likely get accepted if you bump up your gpa a little bit. everything else looks fine.

I got into Stern from UMD College Park with a 3.87 GPA and a 30 ACT. My essays were extremely strong.

From what I've read in these forums, you need a 3.7+ GPA.

I'm attending the University of Virginia this Fall.

my friend transferred to stern with a 3.6 but I havent heard of anyone that got lower than that and got in.
