I'm a student interested in business (just in general..)

I got into NYU (stern) and UC Berkeley, and I don't know where to go

Haas starts in the third year apparently, and going straight into business from the first year (like stern) seems like it's narrowing my path down too much..

But then again all big business eventually goes through NY, and I'd like to have that NYU advantage in terms of opportunities and connections..

But I value that sense of having a nice campus.. which NYU just doesn't have..and the california setting is really attractive..

...the circumstances of the two schools are just too different and has their own adv/disadv and i have no clue where to go

I would go to Berkeley: it's ranked higher, it gives you time to decide on your major (though be aware that not all applying for Haas are accepted), and it has more of a campus environment. The only major downsides are that you aren't guaranteed a spot in Haas and you have less opportunity for jobs on the east coast (it sounded as if you want to work in NY) -- though Haas does have a strong reputation nationwide.

The locations are very different, including the nature of the campus environment (as in, one has a campus, one has the Village). Would you prefer being in the middle of New York city, or on the East Bay, near a city?

Have you visited each school? How did you feel about them? What factors do you value most in your decision?

I suggest Stern because of its location, its potential for recruiting and internships, and its ability to let you major in business straight from the start (I personally think thats a + because you can develop your skills much more effectively than in just the 3rd and 4th year). However, there is no doubt that Haas is amazing too, both schools are on par with each other in the business field so it really depends on the OTHER stuff:
