What classes do stern freshman usually take during second semester? Does NYU force you to take more dreadful liberal arts oriented classes? or can you make your schedule more flexible?

Second semester:
Microeconomics (even if you haven’t done so yet)
Stats (if you havent done so yet)
BiP (Mandatory)
Financial Accounting (not mandatory to take during freshman year, a lot of other people takie it during sophomore year)
Replace either stats or micro with a MAP requirement if you did either of them fall

thx for the reply, so this fall semester I am taking writing the essay, microeconomics, texts and ideas, and calc II. So next semester I would be taking BiP, stats, some MAP class, and financial accounting? Is this the recommended plan? Do most people take electives instead of financial accounting freshman year?

about half and half. A lot of the time it comes down to who is teaching FA second semester, and if they have a chance to get a spot. If they can get into Mary Billings’ FA class, they will do it. If not, they usually take a NatSci, and a World Cultures, or whatever the new name is.

thx! your answer was very helpful
