Wow, after reading this thread I feel alot luckier for getting into Stern and a WHOLE lot luckier for the fact that NYU doesn't pay as much attention to class rank.

Rejected from Wharton, Columbia, Waitlisted at Rice, got into safeties.

I'm all for NYU, my only concern is that I feel like going to Stern will basically force me to have a career in business... well of course its a business school, and finance is no less tedious than other forms of business, but I'm still maintaining a strong interest in law and hope that Stern doesn't take away from the possibility of me going to a good law school.

Decision: ACCEPTED!

What was originally and uncomfortableness with locking myself into Stern has turned into a much more positive feeling knowing that should I attend Stern that I have the opportunity to pursue the things that appeal most to my interests, Finance, International Business, and still be open to building a foundation for a law career with the help of the pre-law advisor and those extremely informative advisory packets...
