<p>I got accepted by both and I will definetely go to either of them. But I am kinda lost now.

<p>For Wash U, I am planning to double major electrical engineering and finance. but is electrical engineering in Wash U a little bit not as famous as those of other top colleges? and is the location makes it hard for job placement? how is olin actually like? even I am not going to double major. I plan to go to grad school for MBA in the future.Also I like the campus feeling.</p>
<p>For NYU, the prestige of Stern is attractive, and the job placement rate for last year is 98%. also, location contributes to the rate. it seems that I could find a job easily from Stern. but NYU does not have the "real" campus. I have heard that the undergrad business is kinda same with that of MBA.</p>

<p>you pretty much have to visit NYU before you make the decision. </p>

<p>NYU actually doesn’t have engineering majors. NYU-Poly does… not really sure if it’s considered NYU yet, it’s in some weird in between phase right now.</p>
<p>they also have a 3-2 program with Stevens Institute in NJ. </p>
<p>other than that, i really don’t know about their engineering program, sorry =(</p>

<p>Omg!! I’m choosing between nyu and wash u as well, but for Arts and Sciences, specifically urban/metropolitan studies. This sort of makes location crucial for field research!!</p>
<p>I’m having an awful time deciding between the two. It seems like NYU is great if you are able to do things for yourself - seek help in class, looking for career opportunities etc - and the fact that NYU is so well known is great for resumes, and NYC has a lot of great opportunities. </p>
<p>Wash U, despite its higher selectivity/rankings, is less well known outside the midwest!!! But the academics/resources are supposed to be TOP NOTCH and kids are supposed to really love it!!!</p>

<p>I was somewhat in your situation, although I gravitated towards NYU Stern to begin with (which probably explains why I’m here). </p>
<p>Having visited both campuses, I can say with confidence, they are two COMPLETELY DIFFERENT schools. Yes, WashU is considered more selective overall, but I don’t know if the same is the case with their business school. </p>
<p>I’d highly recommend visiting both campuses. Some people are extremely bothered by the lack of campus (I on the other hand, find this to be an asset to NYU). </p>
<p>How intent are you upon studying business as an undergrad? If not, then WashU may be a better fit in the event that you’d like to transfer majors. Furthermore, it’s not always recommended that you do undergrad business + MBA (although of course this is permitted). </p>
<p>As for job placement, it seems as though NYU may have the edge…opportunities are naturally more plentiful here. Most people come to NYC for the summer to pursue internships…You would be able to work during the year which gives you an advantage. </p>
<p>Again, I’d really recommend visiting both schools. The students, the environment, the overall energy is extremely different and attract different people.</p>
