I know that NYU has been quite stingy on scholarships and financial aid in the past. However, I was awarded the "Stern Scholarship" for $45500 a year and the "Mae D. Aucello Scholarship" for $1094 a year. I don't want to come off as bragging, but I have not been able to find any information regarding these scholarships and why I was awarded them. I looked through their scholarships page and I could not find those 2 scholarships on there. If someone could help me out, that would be great! This is for undergraduate. Thank you!

I’m fairly certain that they are just financial aid scholarships with a fancy name. Most of NYU’s aid is awarded like that (ie CAS Scholarship, Steinhardt Scholarship, etc)

I am not too sure about the second scholarship but many in Stern receive the “Stern Scholarship” with varying amounts. $45500 is particularly impressive though (especially when compared to my $660/semester Stern Scholarship). Congrats!

Congatulations for your impessive scholarships! Are these need based or merit based?
