Stern Subject Test Req.

Are subject tests required if you are sending in SAT I? I have read the testing policy and it says you must submit either SAT I, 3 SAT Subject Tests, or 3 AP Tests.

I’m not sure if they’re still required but it’s good to send in at least Math II. They should only help you, not hurt you.

Just send in the SAT I.
Subject Tests are not required.
However, if you were to submit the subject tests, then you must submit three else they will not be considered.

Also, does anyone know if NYU looks at writing scores on the SAT I? I know in the past few years they have stated on their website that writing scores are not used/barely used for consideration of acceptance. I can’t find that statement on their website anymore, so did they change the policy?

I assume it continues because that policy was held last year.

You can submit one or two or as many subject test scores as you want as an addition to your app as long as you take the SAT I or ACT or send in the three AP scores. The subject tests’ original purpose were to be additions to apps, but NYU now let’s you substitute them for the SAT. So definetly take Math II.
