i was planning on transferring to stern for next fall and i was wondering about a few things.

1) how difficult is it?
2) how much emphasis is placed on standardized test scores and high school?
3) what is the university looking for in an applicant?

i was a royal screw up in high school. i had a difficult time coping with a lot of personal problems so most of my time was spent trying to maintain composure and peace of mind. i really didn't focus much. my sats and gpa were mediocre and are not a true representation of what i am today.

i currently attend indiana university and have done respectably well. i have all A's in my business classes and B's in general education and electives.

my whole life up to this point i doubted my intelligence. i always thought i was an idiot. but what i found in college was a new level of confidence, passion and a strong work ethic. i realized that i'm a capable intelligent individual and i think i would be successful at nyu.

but how do i convey all this to the admissions board? i really want this more than ever and would like to maximize my chances of getting in.

incoming class sizes are growing and transfer spots are becoming more competitive. please any advice would be of assistance.
