Stern vs. Marshall

I want to go to a good business school and i got into both USC marshall and NYU stern. Which one would you recommend and why? Im from the seattle area and i really have no clue.

Stern, because it is way better then USC Marshall as far as job prospects go.

How do you know that? It seems like grads from both schools get recruitd hard core

Stern is in NYC and Marshall is in Southern Cal.....

and to me, NYC has a huge advantage over cal.

One word: Stern.

okay ill go there

Stern vs. Marshall--tough call.

I think part of this depends on where you want to go to work when you graduate--and what you are majoring in (finance go to Stern, entrepreneurship go to Marshall). Also, can you handle diversity: about 25% of the NYU crowd falls into the LGBT category--Lesbian, Gay, Bi-Sexual, Transvestite--so NYU may not be for the ultra-conservative Republican contingent.(see the ************** site for more info on this)

You know, both schools are famous for following the so-called "Stern curve" whereby grading is extremely difficult in the business programs. You should look at some other sites like "studentreview" for more info on this. If you don't mind the competition, no problem--but if you do, then you might want to avoid both of these schools, because grading at these schools is about the toughest in the US.

It really depends. Stern has an advantage in job placement because of the New York City location and is better regarded than Marshall for studying finance. But as far as I can tell, one is not "better" than the other overall. The most important factor in your decision should be the sort of environment you want to be in for the next four years. Be sure to visit both schools before making a decision.

On the issue of "handling diversity," it is true that NYU on the whole has more gay students compared to other schools. However you will find that the vast majority of Stern students are very conservative.

The "T" in LGBT stands for Transgender (or sometimes Transsexual), not Transvestie.

tough call for this.

GO WITH THE BEST FIT!

nyu has a ton of shemales and your asking whether you want to go there? jesus just go to socal and enjoy the bliss of having dimes all around you... did i mention the weather in socal is awesome?

I really dont know because they are both so good. I am really conservative though, but diversity doesnt bother me. THis is what ive conlcluded-- ill get a bomb job out of either school so just go where i want to work, which concequently is in socal.

thanks everyone
