Stern vs. McComb

Hi, I'm an intn'l student. I'm planning to do a business degree and have been accepted into NYU (Stern) and UT @ Austin (McCombs). Need some advice on which one to pick? also taking into consideration NYU cost twice as much as UT.

jype, i'm in the same situation as you are. did you get into the business honors program (BHP) at McCombs? My advice would be to go to McCombs if $$$ really is a problem and Stern if it isn't. HOWEVER, if you got into BHP you'll be already in the top 100 students of something like 4000 (i think the freshmen class is somewhere around that number) at McCombs, where as if you go to Stern you'll just be a pea in a pod (least that's how I view it). Of course, if you're a Stern Scholar then go to Stern over BHP. I can't suggest what you should do if you've been admitted into BHP and nothing at Stern, as that's the scenario I'm in. Best wishes!

i didn't know you could apply into the honours program straight from high school. well that isn't how it works in this side of the world anyway. but i've got acceptances from both stern and mccombs as regular undergraduates. even though $$$ isn't my foremost priority i guess my question is how much better is stern over mccombs?
