It’s within the financial aid area at the bottom of the acceptance

Just saw the scholarship info. I got 25K.
Daughter is in with $28K of merit! Business & technology major.
S21 accepted for electrical engineering and an invitation to the Accelerated Master’s Program. $22K in merit.
DS was waitlisted
OOS
3.74 GPA
1330 SAT (730 Math)

My son also received the same invitation to the Accelerated Master’s Program, but when I looked at website linked to by the letter, it appears that even when invited at the time of admission, they still need to apply after sixth or seventh semester to be accepted into the program, which is the same requirement for current students to apply to the program. I suppose they want to make sure the students have the requisite GPA, but now I wonder if this is more marketing than a real perk.
Does anyone know if being invited now really makes any difference?
Got accepted for Quantitative Finance! 30k scholarship but still costs wayyy more than my state school
I also got the Pinnacle Scholars Program. Does anyone understand exactly what it is and how selective it is? Online I can just find that it’s Steven’s version of an honors college.
accepted into computer science! 33k merit scholarship super happy! would y’all say going to Stevens is worth payeing 36k per year tuition including everything
Yes, big time yes. The education you will get is top notch! (I’m an alumni: Computer Science BS '90 MS’92). Very happy that my daughter got accepted to the math program.
36k is very steep
Got accepted to Virginia Tech, Illinois Tech, Rochester, WPI, UC Stan Cruz, Rose-Hulman… but… waitlisted for Stevens
I am in-state (the only one I picked for in-state - want to get out… lol)
It’s random, don’t worry.
0 worries… just strange… the coach was also interested in me
moving on!
WPI is a great option.
Stevens (36.9k) or WPI (37k) for a BS in Computer Science (I’m from NJ)
IIT and RIT are best for me financially $15k and $20k respectively. Virginia around $30k.
Unfortunately I can’t get through WIP financials - noncustodial requirement wasn’t waived (waived for all others) - so I don’t have official letter besides “WPI Presidential Scholarship” $13.5k and standard up to $5k Global Scholarship.
Congrats, I got into the Pinnacle Scholars program too! The acceptance letter listed some benefits that sound pretty cool (especially the $5000 stipend for internships and research) but I guess I’m not sure exactly what the similarities and differences are between this program and a traditional honors college.
25K, Business & Technology
As far as I read here and in Reddit, scholarships go up to 33k and down to 20k.
So I am almost in the golden middle, can live with that. 8k would be nice to have, but will not be driving my decision. Got many other good offers, all ranging plus minus that amount. Going to a top private college is costly. Can only change that by deciding for a not so prestigious college, what doesn’t mean the education is necessarily less good.
I guess the mass of scholarship calculations depend alot on your Estimated Family Contributions, and your major. I have above average GPA and scores, so that can not be the main factor for the scholarship decisions.
