Hi all,
Anyone know how competitive this is? My S21 applied by the priority deadline. His teachers have been slow to do his recs, however, so I’m not sure he’ll actually get priority consideration.
He didn’t submit any test scores, but has excellent grades. Some engineering ECs but nothing major/unique. No hooks except we’re from the South which might make a diff?
Just wondering if anyone knows much about what to expect in terms of getting in, and/or what you know about the program and its quality, etc. We applied based on CC input from another forum. Main interest for attending is helping him decide if he wants to really do engineering.
Tks!
Can’t help, as we are waiting to hear as well. It’s been two weeks since my son applied and he was told decisions would be out within two weeks. He doesn’t have super high grades, but he does have a lot of engineering related ECs.
@taverngirl – Cool! I can’t believe his teachers haven’t done their recs even though I know they both really like him. Oh well, hopefully they’ll do it soon.
Good luck to both our kids and keep me posted when you hear back!
@taverngirl – my S just found out he was accepted to the engineering camp at Stevens! Now he has to figure out if he’s really going to do it, but he’s excited!
My son did too! He is definitely going - doing the Engineering Boot Camp. He’s 99% sure he wants Civil Engineering but is choosing to do the exploratory program vs. the Civil Engineering one. Which one is your son interested in?
