I am deciding between Stevens Tech, Lafayette, and Union for mechanical/computer engineering. All three are about the same price. At Stevens, I love the location (Hoboken, proximity to NYC) and research opportunities, was also admitted to Pinnacle Scholars program there. At Lafayette, I would have the option to live there or commute as it is only about a 35-40 minute drive. It’s a great school and the ability to commute would save money. I have not had the chance to visit Union yet but have a visit planned. How important is research availability for engineering? Stevens is obviously the engineering focused school, but all three are still good schools. I would appreciate any opinions/perspectives you could provide between these schools. Thanks!
