Any opinions on Industrial Engineering at either Stevens Inst of Tech, SUNY Binghampton, Penn STate or Rutgers?

Forgetting about the cost diffs, what are pros and cons of the major at these schools

It is often said that ABET accredited engineering programs are very much the same across the country, so at the academic level, there probably is no significant difference between these four. The difference (if any) would be in the placement offices. It is perfectly OK for you to contact the individual departments and the career center at each university so that you can ask for specific information about internship and job placement.

When it comes time to crunch the numbers, run them here: [FinAid | Calculators | Award Letter Comparison Tool](<a href=“Your Guide for College Financial Aid - Finaid”>Award Letter Requirements - Finaid) Many families do find that in the end, money talks.

For Rutgers, which campus and the honors program? Do you want co-op or a masters? For engineering, they are all probably very similar, cost might be the deciding factor.

now its Rutgers vs Penn State vs North Carolina State vs Stevens. Rutgers and NC State are about $10k cheaper per year than PSU & Stevens - any thoughts?? it would be for engineering, probably IE

You should start your own thread if your question is not closely related to the title of the existing thread (and the existing thread is an old one anyway).

You need to check each school on its policy on changing majors, particularly for the major you may change in to.
