Still clueless...Any ideas??

I'd prefer to go to school no more than 5 hours (driving) away... But if I got a good scholarship from a school far away I'd go there. I'm interested in science (esp bio/chem) and am seriously considering being a vet... I think I'd do better at a small-medium sized school with small class sizes. I would really like a large merit scholarship, but I don't know if that's possible.

Just how big do you need that “merit scholarship” to be? Read through this thread, and see if anything looks good to you: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/financial-aid-scholarships/848226-important-links-automatic-guaranteed-merit-scholarships.html

umm…keeping tuition under 20,000.

Tuition or full cost of attendance?

Room & Board can run between $12,000-$13,000 now.

under 20 for tuition

You can use any of the college-matching search engines to find places that meet your criteria. Here are three good ones. Run all of them because they use different methodologies and will yield somewhat different results. When you look at the results, check each website for the estimated Cost of Attendance (COA). In some states tuition is very low, but there are a lot of fees added on top of that which makes the COA bigger than you might expect from tuition alone.

@Strawberry21 - you’ve been asking variations on this question since early March 2011… have you looked at the suggestions previously posted to you?

Most of the ACM colleges grant merit scholarships. Several of them would be “target” schools for your stats.
