Well, I was wondering if anybody was still battling over which university to attend...

I just turned in my enrollment fee + form so I'm set... Here I come USC! YAY

I've been battling over University of Oklahoma and University of Southern California thanks to the cost of USC... (OU would be basically free for me) But i chose academics and arts over money. But like somebody said, I actually like small-medium sized towns over big towns so LA might be hard for me to adjust to.

Well, I guess its better than me going to NYU or something (i didn't get in but) NYU was my number one going into the whole process and I was worried that I would have to live in NYC. Ech.

So anyone still battling over which university? Also, what was your number one going into the whole process? Did you get in and if you did, are you going to your first choice, or chose some other university instead?

Ha, I was exactly the opposite. Deciding between UIUC and USC, but UIUC would cost over 5 times USC, so unless Purdue is free or something, i'm going to USC

I was battling over MSU and BGSU. But, then I visited them both. I hated MSU and thought the english program kind of sucked. But, BGSU's english dept. was pretty sweet and their pre-law program looks neat as well.

I've already visited Obie, and I loved it. I'm visiting Smith next week. I'm pretty sure it's going to come down to these two. Grinnell, Wellesley are still in the running. Other schools maybe, if financial aid factors a lot. I've barely gotten any of my offers yet because it sucks trying to get my mom to send in the non-custodial parent forms. She SAID she sent them out last Friday, but you never know when it comes to her.

OOops, ranting... Yeah, the only thing is that I was last in Oberlin back in October, so the visit isn't as fresh in my mind! I won't be able to go back though.

I'm battling between UC Davis and NYU right now...each have equal amounts of advantages and disadvantages. Can anybody help me??? I like both equally...

Oh yea..my first choice was Stanford...didn't get in.

I'm deciding between Dickinson and the University of Rochester. Both offered merit aid, but D offered more (12,500/yr vs 8,000/yr at Rochester). I got very little need based aid at either college, but money is a big factor in where I go, so I've appealed the aid at Rochester since for a while I was leaning in that direction. I'm unsure now though. I'm unable to visit either, which is making the decision especially hard! I feel as though I'm deciding on the very random factors and I'm very uncertain of how to choose between them.

Since they're both good schools, I think I'm just going to whichever one gives me more money (looks like Dickinson at this point). I feel like I'm just picking one of the two names out of a hat, though, which is extremely frustrating. Does anyone have any opinions or suggestions about the decision???? I would really appreciate any feedback.

My first choice was Vassar, but I'm on the waitlist there. I adore the school, although don't know whether or not I have a strong chance of making it off of the list. I also don't know what I would do if I got in but with bad aid! Of course, I can't think about that for now since it's currently not an option at all....

Thanks for the feedback, Pongo...and you're right, since I don't know that much about which I prefer I should probably just go with the money. After all, I'll probably be fine wherever I go and if I choose based on money, at least I'll be fine at the cheaper school...
