I have a seriously low gpa, like a 3.3 out of 4. I rank pretty good, top 10% in my grade, a good SSAT score (98%) and a bunch of extra curricular. The problem is I got a D one time and 2 Cs! I'm in Korea, but I've only been learning here for four years, I grew up in Canada. I didn't know Korean AT ALL when I came here, so that affected my grades a bit, and the whole 'get used to the environment' thing did too. Anyway, I'm just so stressed out, can any of you tell me if I still have a chance to land a boarding school?

Not sure what u are really after. Are u asking whether it is possible to get into an acceptable school, or are u asking whether it is possible to get into Andover?

Yes, yes you do. But there are other things that are going into your application file, they will matter, and “a boarding school”, as GMT notes, is an almost meaningless target. Have confidence and go do your homework about how to measure fit. SevenDad’s thread, and others here, are very useful. You have time to find it with a search on your own, as you must be applying next cycle (unless you’re considering rolling admissions this cycle).

Top top schools could be a little reach, but if other parts are great, than you could still conceivably be accepted.
